Fair
The fair is intended for companies related to space weather. The aim is to facilitate the contact between scientists, end users and industry. All entities concerned with space weather have an easy platform to express what lies in their field of interest. We focus this year on global navigation satellite systems, offshore drilling and geomagnetism. The fair takes place on Tuesday Nov 18, 14:00-19:00 and Wednesday Nov 19, 13:30-15:00, both days in the poster-room. If you want to have a stand, please contact Petra Vanlommel.
Deadline for submission: 20th June 2008.

Tutorial: Space Weather
Monday morning November 17, 2008, a space weather tutorial is foreseen. It is divided into three parts: the science, effects and applications, conclusions in a non usual form. It will be given at a master level. All attendees of the space weather week are welcome, but we hope that especially students and young engineers attend this special event.
The invited speakers are Juha-Pekka Luntama (FMI) and Eamonn Daly (ESA/ESTEC). The conclusions will be done in the form of a quiz, a matter to have a light start of the week. The winner goes home with something typical Belgian (no beer!). The price will be given at the conference dinner.
Practical: Monday November 17, 9:30-11:30. The tutorial will take place in the Lippens auditorium, the room where the plenairy sessions take places.

First Attendees Meeting: FAM
Is this your first European Space Weather Week? Not sure what to attend, how to contribute, where to go for advice? What are the splinters about?
The First Attendees Meeting (FAM) is organized for people new in space weather and for those coming for the first time to the space weather week. We present ourselves and the organization. We continue during a joint informal small lunch. At the same time, we get to know you and your interrests in space weather. This can be a first informal easy contact with the space weather community.
Practical: Monday November 17, 12:00-12:45. The FAM will start in the Lippens auditorium, the room where the plenairy sessions take places.

The Best of
We encourage everybody to give clear, understandable presentations, oral and in poster form. Both an oral presentation and poster will be selected by the program committee as the winners of 'The Best of the' prize.
